Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPC Plans) are a government initiative that allows people with chronic injuries to access professional services to assist with the management of their condition. Medicare rebates are available to patients who are being managed by their GP and have a referral pursuant to an EPC Plan. Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 allied health services per patient in a calendar year. If you do not use all your services within a calendar year, the remainder do not carry through to the next year. The ultimate goal from physiotherapy for these patients is to provide long term management strategies to cope with chronic illnesses.
